In September, we visited the International Manufacturing Technology Show, which filled McCormick Place in Chicago. Since it was a local show with several of our clients exhibiting, the Nichols team scouted the floor looking for the best examples of the 2016 Exhibit Trends. Our next few blog posts will feature photos from IMTS 2016.
Massive hanging signs stake your territory on the show floor, drawing attendees into your space and distinguishing your unique environment from the other exhibitors. They also provide a variety of ways to create visual interest that will let you stand out from other exhibitors.
90 degree signs done differently! Two signs with strong, contrasting graphics and orientations direct show goers to your location (left). In a corner space, a hanging sign that travels along both aisles and joins with the right-angled backwalls defines your booth space without the added expense of a four-sided hanging sign (right).
A triangular sign makes a bold statement, and nesting two signs provides added depth and interest while reinforcing the brand (left). Another interesting way to group two elements is to place them at different heights and orientations, creating visual appeal (right).
These clever signs work well in a large booth space to call attention to specific feature in your booth. Dimensional letters on plexiglass seem to float over other booth elements (left). These hanging light boxes reflect the company’s logo, branding the space dramatically without repeating the exhibitor’s name (right).
Don’t forget to use the inside of your hanging sign to communicate your capabilities or reinforce your messaging. The contrasting color provides visual interest, and helps the attendee take notice.
