10 BIG trends from Exhibitor 2014: #6 Tall exhibits

Nichols always keeps up-to-date on the latest trends in design and manufacturing of trade show exhibits to help our customers get the best the industry has to offer. On our recent trip to the 2014 Exhibitor Show we observed 10 key trends that will help you stay ahead of the curve with your next exhibit. This is the sixth in a series of posts examining those trends, and giving you tips on how you can make use of them.

Trend #6: Exhibits are getting taller Tall trade show displays

You want to get your money’s worth from your tradeshow booth by taking full advantage of the space available to you. To find a place where there’s often a lot of overlooked real estate, more exhibitors are looking up to build tall trade show displays.

The photos from Exhibitor 2014 show how using the space above your booth can make you really stand out. A few suggestions for ways to use your vertical space:

  • Tall lightboxes can help you make a maximum impact
  • One way to use space above your booth is with tall banners that can be seen from across the showroom
  • Another way to draw attention is with hanging signs or lights

These examples are of island booths that are using the vertical space, but a great way to save money and still make a big impact is to reserve a perimeter space at your show.  Sometimes these spaces cost the same amount as an inline space but don’t come with the 8’ height limitation. You may be able to go up as high as12’ along the wall (be sure to check with Show Management for your show’s specifications).
